What stays home. And the little that leaves.
Most of what hunhu does never touches the internet. This is everything that does, and why. Anything more needs your yes first.
Stays in your house, unless you choose
- Video and snapshots from your camerasKept on the box for 14 days, then deleted. No continuous recording.
- Your voice commandsCommands are understood on the box. A question you ask by voice goes out as text, like chat.
- Who is home, and when
- Your rules, routines and automations
- Your power use
- Everything else on the boxOn an encrypted disk, its key sealed inside the box.
Leaves the house, and why
- Alerts to your phoneEncrypted on the box, and never with the picture.
- Security fixesFetched overnight. Other updates only when you choose.
- The timeSo schedules and quiet hours stay right.
- Load-shedding scheduleYour area, to find the next slot.
- Chat, if you use itYour words and the state of the house, as text, to an AI model. Never images.
- hunhu Cloud, if you turn it onReaching home from outside, and only what you choose to sync. Encrypted end to end: we can’t read it.
- An outside AI assistant, if an adult connects oneRead-only text and state, from inside the house. Never images.
- Error reportsOff unless you switch them on.
The list is a test, not just a promise. A test on the box checks its traffic against it, and anything new fails.
